American GI Forum Founded in 1948 as a Veterans Organization, in Corpus Christi, Texas, is a tax-exempt 501(c)4 corporation with a 501(c)3 sub component.
In 1998 on the 50th anniversary of the organization, the U.S. Congress Chartered the American GI Forum as a Veteran's Family Organization.
